Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
Service pricing will vary dependent on which lab(s) or package you select. Pricing consists of the lab processing fee + consultation fee/session. If you are interested in working together to learn more about yourself and improve your health, reach out and we can provide you will more specific information.
Are your services billed to insurance?
No, I do not bill insurance for services provided. Pricing is transparent and itemized invoices are available - total cost for services is divided into lab fee + consultation fees.
Are HSA/FSA cards accepted for payment?
Yes, in most cases HSA/FSA cards can be used to pay for genomic lab and consultation services.
Is a pharmacogenomic test going to tell me what medications will work for me?
Pharmacogenomic testing will provide insight about your unique body and how it may respond to medication taken. Medications must be absorbed, distributed to the site of action, metabolized, and then excreted. Changes in our DNA can impact these important processes that may lead to inefficacy or potentially increase the risk of adverse effects. Pharmacogenomics will NOT tell you what medications you will for sure respond to or confirm that you will not experience a side effect or adverse reaction. It is additional information about your unique body that can be used as a tool to help guide drug choice and dosing.
Do I have to give a blood sample?
No!! This test is performed using a simple, non-invasive, cheek swab to sample DNA, that is then sent to the lab for analysis.
How long does it take to get my DNA report back?
Processing time will vary depending on which lab is being used. Generally, it takes 2 to 4 weeks for pharmacogenomic or nutrigenomic reports to be made available.
